David Gu SUNY Stony Brook Ricci flow is the geometric tool for the proof of Poincare's conjecture. Ricci flow algorithm is able to design Riemannian metrics using user prescribed curvatures. This tutorial will introduce the basic concepts, theorems, algorithm of surface Ricci flow, and its application for surface matching, registration and shape analysis.
