During the past ten years there has been a rapid development bringing more math titles online -- both current production and digitizing of legacy files. During the same time, we have seen suggestions for new models for online publications. The quandry remains as to how it can all be properly financed and sustained, given serious pressures on higher education and research. I will discuss a librarian's view of gains -- and perhaps sacrifices -- along with a modest proposal (courtesy Prof S. Mueller) for an evolutionary step.
