Abstract
Traditional optical design typically exploits only limited
prior knowledge of the object space to be imaged (e.g., resolution, field of view, nominal range, etc.) It is possible
to include stronger object space constraints (e.g., specific
objects of interest, operational SNR, background characteristics, etc.) into the optical design and thus generate a
more photo-efficient solution. In this talk I will discuss
both passive and active feature-specific imaging systems
for this purpose.
