Abstract
In this lecture I report on recent joint work with Craig Huneke. We give a differential condition for a graded ideal in a positively graded polynomial ring over a field of characteristic 0 to be Golod. This result is applied to find large classes of Golod ideals, including powers, symbolic powers, and saturations of ideals.
