Daping Weng - Weaves from T-Shifting Plabic Graphs

October 26, 2026
Abstract
Plabic graphs are important combinatorial tools for describing cluster structures. By implementing a combinatorial procedure called T-shift, we can turn reduced plabic graphs on a disk into weaves, thereby producing Demazure weaves that describe cluster structures on open positroid varieties. As an application, we prove that the Muller-Speyer twist on open positroid varieties coincides with the Donaldson-Thomas transformation, and consequently, proving that the source labeling seeds and the target labeling seeds on the same open positroid variety are quasi-cluster equivalent. In this talk, I will go over the basics of the T-shift procedure and discuss generalizations to plabic fences as well as 3d plabic graphs. This talk is based on a joint work with R. Casals, I. Le, M. Sherman-Bennett, and a joint work in progress with R. Casals and S. Kim
