A random point set with N points embedded in dimension D has N(N-1)/2 inter-point distances, however reconstruction is usually possible with a much smaller number of distances. In this talk edge thresholds based on global rigidity theory and on build up methods are derived and discussed, including the issues of dependent edges and distance errors.
