Abstract
Recorded 02 May 2025. Haonan Zhang of the University of South Carolina presents "On the Ricci curvature lower bounds for quantum Markov semigroups" at IPAM's Dynamics of Density Operators Workshop. Abstract: Recently, several notions of Ricci curvature lower bounds have been introduced for quantum Markov semigroups to establish functional inequalities. In proving curvature lower bounds for specific examples, an intertwining technique has proven to be a useful tool. In this talk, I will discuss related notions of Ricci curvature lower bounds for quantum Markov semigroups and explain how we benefit from developing the intertwining idea. This is based on joint work with Melchior Wirth and Florentin Münch. Learn more online at: https://www.ipam.ucla.edu/programs/workshops/workshop-ii-dynamics-of-density-operators/
