Abstract
Recorded 12 March 2025. Dario Trevisan of the Università di Pisa presents "Quantum Optimal Transport: Quantum Channels and Qubits, Part 2 of 3" at IPAM's Non-commutative Optimal Transport Tutorials.
Abstract: The focus of this tutorial is on two approaches on quantum optimal transport: one based on quantum channels as generalized transport plans, the other based on the notion of Hamming-Wasserstein distance of order 1 on multiple-qubit systems. The material will be presented in an elementary manner, with a focus on the finite-dimensional setting and examples.
