Abstract
Recorded 12 September 2024. Scott Page of the University of Michigan presents "Diverse Intelligences and Problem Solving" at IPAM's Mathematics of Intelligences Tutorials.
Abstract: We will begin with a rugged landscape model and then extend to the study of perspective and heuristics to learn about basins of attraction. We will then cover multiple theorems, the Perspective - Heurist Equivalence Theorem, The Diversity Trumps Ability Theorem, Shapley Value on Creative Tasks, and The No-Test Exists Theorem. We will conclude with a discussion of models of communication across perspectives.
