Istvan Prause of the University of Eastern Finland presents "Limit shapes of non-intersecting Brownian bridges via harmonic envelope" at IPAM's Vertex Models: Algebraic and Probabilistic Aspects of Universality Workshop. Abstract: Non-intersecting Brownian bridges develop macroscopic limit shapes under given initial and terminal particle distribution. An example for this is the Brownian watermelon. I will discuss these limit shapes from the point of view of the tangent plane method and draw a connection to limit shapes of random Young tableaux.
