Abstract
Recorded 21 May 2024. Sasha Garbali of the University of Melbourne presents "Shuffle algebras, lattice paths and Macdonald functions" at IPAM's Vertex Models: Algebraic and Probabilistic Aspects of Universality Workshop. Abstract: In this talk I will discuss a computation of skew Macdonald functions as vertex model partition functions. The approach relies on a connection between Macdonald functions and the Feign—Odesskii shuffle algebra and a new construction of shuffle algebra elements in terms of vertex model partition functions.
