Abstract
Recorded 26 March 2024. Pavel Galashin of the University of California, Los Angeles, presents "Geometric objects associated to planar bipartite graphs" at IPAM's Statistical Mechanics and Discrete Geometry Workshop.
Abstract: I will explain how to associate various topological and geometric data to a planar bipartite graph in a disk. Examples of objects include knots, cluster varieties, higher secondary polytopes, and critical varieties. I will also discuss some results on how these objects are related to each other. Based on joint work with T. Lam, A. Postnikov, and L. Williams.
