Abstract
Recorded 25 March 2024. Richard Kenyon of Yale University presents "The multinomial dimer model" at IPAM's Statistical Mechanics and Discrete Geometry Workshop. Abstract: This is joint work with Catherine Wolfram. We define and study the multinomial dimer model. The limit shape theory on a general bipartite graph relies on finding a bistochastic gauge. We compute limit shapes for the model in a number of settings, including a 3D version of the Aztec diamond.
