Alessandra Bernardi - Defective tensor network varieties - IPAM at UCLA

February 8, 2024
Abstract
Recorded 08 February 2024. Alessandra Bernardi of the Università di Trento presents "Defective tensor network varieties" at IPAM's Tensor Networks Workshop. Abstract: Tensor Networks can be structured within algebraic varieties, in dependence on the graph structure, bond dimensions, and physical dimensions. The expected dimensions of these varieties predominantly depend on the number of parameters and the well-established influence of the gauge subgroup. However, there exist unclassified anomalies called defective tensor networks, which deviate from these expectations. Learn more online at: https://www.ipam.ucla.edu/programs/workshops/tensor-networks/
