Vera Serganova of the University of California, Berkeley, presents "On support variety for algebraic supergroups" at IPAM's Symmetric Tensor Categories and Representation Theory Workshop. Abstract: The category of representations of an algebraic supergroup G with reductive even group is a Frobenius symmetric monoidal tensor category. We associate to every G-module M an algebraic variety X(M) and prove that this correspondence satisfies properties of a support variety theory.
