Kevin Coulembier of the University of Sydney School of Mathematics and Statistics presents "Symmetric tensor categories of moderate growth" at IPAM's Symmetric Tensor Categories and Representation Theory Workshop. Abstract: Deligne proved that, over fields of characteristic 0, all symmetric tensor categories of moderate growth are representation categories of supergroups. Over fields of positive characteristic, the situation is much more complicated, and the subject has seen several breakthroughs in the last decade. I will comment on recent results in collaboration with Pavel Etingof and Victor Ostrik and in collaboration with Johannes Flake.
