In this talk, we explore the concept of combinatorial disjunctive constraints (CDC) and their properties. In particular, we examine when one can build small ideal mixed-integer programming (MIP) formulations using CDCs and their linkages to clique trees. We also show that generalized special ordered sets (SOS k) can be modeled by CDCs with ties to clique trees.
