Matthieu Fradelizi of the Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée presents "Volume of p-zonoids and inequalities for determinants" at IPAM's Calculus of Variations in Probability and Geometry Workshop. Abstract: We present new inequalities for the volume of 2-zonoids and investigate its possible extensions for p-zonoids. We also study an analogue conjectural inequality on determinants, which happens to reduce to the preceding one if and only if p=1 or p=2.
