December 3, 2021
Abstract
Recorded 03 December 2021. Frank Wuerthwein of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), presents "Global Cyberinfrastructure for LIGO, Virgo, Kagra, IceCube, and others" at IPAM's Workshop IV: Big Data in Multi-Messenger Astrophysics. Abstract: We will discuss the global cyberinfrastructure that is in use today by LIGO, Virgo, Kagra, and IceCube, and how the fundamentals of this structure lends itself to incorporating other astrophysics experiments to provide a global infrastructure that can support all of multi-messenger astrophysics.
