Geraint Pratten of the University of Birmingham presents "Waveform Systematics and Binary Black Holes" at IPAM's Workshop III: Source inference and parameter estimation in Gravitational Wave Astronomy. Abstract: In this talk I will summarize the state-of-the-art for binary black hole waveform models. I will highlight recent progress in the field and discuss the key challenges that must be addressed in the coming years. Finally, I will highlight the impact of waveform systematics on the analysis of observed gravitational wave events and summarize our current understanding systematics.
