Turbulence ubiquitously found in nature is responsible for transport, mixing, and heating in fluids. Turbulence simulation of plasma - high temperature ionized gas – needs to be defined on a phase space due to non-equilibrium distribution of particles.
Five-dimensional simulations are carried out for studies of magnetized plasma turbulence in fusion or in space, and demand intensive data communications during their computations as well as a massive data analysis for the nonlinear interactions.
We would describe the internode data communications over MPI employed in our simulation, and the analysis of phase space structures and transfer functions in plasma turbulence.
